Check out my friend Travis’ video. Pretty much sums up my Coachella 2012 experience. I make a small cameo around the 3:50 mark with my birthday crown. Best birthday ever, until next year.

Watch out, DJ Bean on the 1′s and 2′s. This is a mix I made of my favorite house & trance songs of this season. It features some standout tracks from Coachella, new Kaskade Mashups, Tiesto, Morgan Page, Michael Woods, Deniz Koyu, Swedish House Mafia and more. The beginning transition is messed up (didn’t realize it until it was all done) but the rest is okay. Put it on for a long drive or before your workout. Hope you like it :)

Tracklist:
1. The Chase (feat. Belle Humble) – Lazy Rich
2. Warrior (Original Mix) – Michael Woods
3. Carry Me (feat. Nadia Ali) – Morgan Page
4. Call Out Epic (Kaskade Mashup) – Kaskade vs. Sandro Silva
5. Dangerous (Deniz Koyu Remix) – James Blunt
6. Love Is Not Enough (Kaskade Remix) – Above & Beyond feat. Zoe Johnston
7. Suddenly Summer (feat. Ana Criado) – Armin Van Buuren
8. Call Me Greyhound (Kap Slap Bootleg) – Swedish House Mafia vs. Carly Rae Jepsen
9. We Own The Night (feat. Luciana) – Tiesto & Wolfgang Gartner
10. That Miami Track (Original Mix) – Tocadisco feat. Julian Smith
11. No Access (Original Mix) – Michael Woods
12. Young Blood (Tiesto & Hardwell Remix) – The Naked & Famous

Kaskade’s set at Coachella was an incredible performance of epic proportions. I’ve seen Kaskade a few times before, and he’s always put on a good show, but nothing like this. You could really tell that he spent a lot of time working on the mashups for his set, mixing his signature floaty vocal tunes seamlessly with nasty beats with drops that came out of NOWHERE. Most notably for me were the unreleased Llove (Dada Life Remix) & his Turn It Down/Toulouse Mashup. Truly one of the most impressive sets I’ve seen and I can’t wait for what’s to come as he embarks on his Freaks of Nature tour. I’ll definitely have to catch him in Vegas Memorial Day weekend.

Gives me major chills.

Morgan Page’s album has been on repeat for a week. I give it a solid A. Nadia Ali’s voice is just plain Awesome.

Here is a weird little messed up story told in the following two Miike Snow videos from their latest album Happy To You. Thanks CG

via Noisey:

“Both videos were directed by Swedish Director Andreas Nillson, who’s work includes MGMT and Fever Ray. Rumours the entire plot was cooked up after a real life after hours chain saw massacre are currently unconfirmed.”

Attention Sahara Tent aficionados! Morgan Page‘s new album, In The Air, is released today. With his signature progressive house sound and collaborations with female vocalists Tegan & Sara, Angela McCluskey, and Nadia Ali, the album is sure to be just the treat to satisfy your electro craving before he performs it live at the big Coach.  See below for a special edition of his podcast In The Air featuring the entire album available for download with commentary.

In The Air 093 (Album Version) – Morgan Page

Here is my favorite track so far, and it happens to be the title track.

The Black Keys’ newest album El Camino is pure excellence. Stuck on repeat.

Yet another Santa Barbara super group! I guess Del Playa really does bring out the best in us. Thanks to Matt Mitro for introducing me to this band. See you at Coachella Gardens & Villa.

I’ll be yours, someday.
