Finally, a breath of fresh air from the boring Calvin Harris we’ve been hearing on mainstream radio so much lately. This track has renewed my hope in the producer’s choices in remixing. While I’m at it, CH, please perform live at your shows. For someone who has claimed not to be a “popstar” it sure seems like you’re headed in that direction. You of all people should understand the value in live performance! I guess I’m just disappointed that he simply DJ’ed the same rotation of popular EDM tracks I had heard all weekend at Coachella instead of performing on the piano & singing his classics live. He was one of the artists I was the most stoked to see. I’m on the fence with you Mr. Harris!

Video recap of definitely one of the best sets I have ever seen. Neroooo killed it.

Just when I thought I was getting ATOver this song [Santa Barbarians, ya feel me?], Chuckie comes out with a massive extended mix that makes me fall in love with We Found Love all over again. Much less mainstream-radio and much more epic than the original.

So Calvin Harris collaborated with Rihanna on her new single, We Found Love. And while I’m not a huge Rihanna fan, I have to admit… I don’t hate it. It’s a typical club pop house song with a catchy beat and repeating structure. I can picture it blasting at Opium in Barcelona, Kapital in Madrid, Eden in Ibiza, and every other club in Europe. Sounds a bit mainstream for Mr. Harris, but I think appealing to a larger audience was the point. I just hope he sticks to his unique electronic sound and doesn’t turn into a fame-hungry David Guetta.

Calvin Harris’s new single Feel So Close has been remixed and topped Hype Machine‘s charts the past week, but Nero definitely takes the cake. I love Calvin’s voice and 80′s electro vibe, but Nero just takes it to a whole new level. Listen for the woman’s voice in the background; it makes it even more epic. Feast your ears on this dubstep banger.
